Ron Smith presented a small gift for Archer and thanked him for participating at the Paws and Pals fundraiser held at the Der Dutchman. Archer has spent his entire life raising and fostering animals for the shelter (with his mom and dad). His dedication to the animals at the shelter, at such a young age, and spreading the message of adopt don’t shop really touched Ron’s heart. Ron said that maybe Archer could save the money to buy a new car one day, but Archer already has plans for the money, and that he would like to buy a new PS 5!

A huge thank you to the FOE Ladies Auxiliary 950 for their donation of toys, peroxide, money and time, we are so thankful to have you in our corner!
Granddaughters of 2 of our volunteers decided to run a lemonade stand and donate the proceeds to the shelter. They made more than $95! That's a LOT of lemonade lol🍋🍋🍋 and we are so proud of you❣️🐾🐾
A huge thank you to Dr. Molly, she has been a volunteer vet for HSMC for almost 4 years. She has performed MANY spay neuter surgeries, as well as entropion surgeries, mass removals, heartworm treatments and has logged countless physicals and rabies vaccines for our shelter animals. She has also shared her caring and wisdom with staff and animas alike. We want to thank her from the bottom of our hearts for all she has done for the animals here. We are going to miss her tremendously. Dr Molly, please remember to share a photo or two (or a million) of the little one once he/she arrives. Thank you again!
It's a good day for stray dogs and feral cats, which now are protected as a companion animal. Thanks to everyone who supported this effort!
Our Board 2nd VP, Dana (left in picture) and Executive Director, Meg (right in picture), attended the Richwood Coffee Beneficiary Awards. Also included in the picture is Richwood employee Ellen (far left in picture). The Humane Society of Madison County is a beneficiary and so far, this year we have received over $2,300 in donations! How can you help you ask? That is an awesome question! In Richwood Bank lobbies are coffee shops and you don’t need to have an account to enjoy a drink! Their baristas offer a variety of delicious drinks and 100% of your purchase goes to our shelter which helps us provide care for over 600 animals annually!
We would love to have you join us! If you have a topic you'd like to discuss, please email it to the Board, at board@hsmcohio.org one (1) week prior to the meeting. Our bi-monthly board meetings are held the second Monday of every other month
Be sure to get your dog his yearly tag at one of these local locations
